Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints: Look at engineering drawings to find out the size, shape, and amount of steel needed.
• Cut and bend: Use hand tools or power machines to shape steel rods and mesh mats.
• Tie steel: Join pieces together using wire, clips, or welds to make strong cages.
• Position framework: Place the steel grids correctly into the wooden forms before workers pour concrete.

Required Skills

• Physical strength: Ability to lift heavy metal and stand for long hours.
• Math and accuracy: Good at reading measurements and following precise layouts.
• Safety focus: Know how to work safely on busy and high building sites.
• Teamwork: Work well with builders, crane operators, and site engineers.
